Ningbo University-University of Angers Joint Institute (hereinafter referred to as Sino-French Joint Institute), approved by the Ministry of Education, is a Sino-French cooperative institution of no separate legal entity jointly established by Ningbo University and the University of Angers. As a high-level educational and scientific research institution in the field of humanities and social sciences, the Institute makes use of the educational and scientific research resources of both parties and strives:

- to provide a solid intellectual support for economic and social development,

- to become a peak of international talent training of higher education in Zhejiang Province,

- to serve as a propeller for promoting the development of tourism and culture-related industries at municipal and even provincial scale,

- to act as a model for Sino-French higher education, cultural exchange and cooperation.

The Institute offers three undergraduate programs of Sino-French cooperation in tourism management, human geography and urban-rural planning, and apparel and fashion design as well as one master’s degree program in tourism management (academic degree of Sino-French cooperation).
