Department of Apparel and Fashion Design: As the partner, the University of Angers is one of the only two public universities having the major of apparel in France. Cholet, where the major of apparel of University of Angers is taught, is the largest city of apparel manufacturing in France. The city is famous for its apparel manufacturing techniques and haute couture production. It is also home to several famous brands such as IKKS, Jean Bourget, and Catimini. The fashion cluster at the University of Angers includes three undergraduate programs in fashion design, fashion industry development and sales, and fashion industry innovation; two master’s degree programs in fashion management as well as international management of French arts and luxury goods. It aims at cultivating versatile talents with innovative spirit, independent ability, teamwork spirit, interdisciplinary collaboration ability, broad vision, pragmatism spirit and good interpersonal and communication skills. After the four years of study, the qualified students will receive a bachelor’s degree from both Ningbo University (Bachelor of Arts) and the University of Angers (Bachelor of Social Sciences).
